How I Help Our Clients
The key to helping clients in our industry is to make sure they know you are always available for them in good times and bad. And by staying in close contact with clients, I not only provide assurance but also ensure I can keep current with clients’ evolving objectives and requirements. Most importantly though, is to always be honest and forthright. Trust is the foundation of our client relationships.
My Credentials and Experience
I began my investment career in 1970 as an account executive with a large national brokerage firm in Vancouver, B.C. I quickly became the company’s top producer and rose to become the manager of the firm’s Manitoba operations. From 1976 through 1980, I was responsible for serving institutional clients in England and continental Europe. I then became a founding officer of the investment counselling subsidiary of a large financial institution in 1985, responsible for managing individual clients, trusts, estates, benefit plans and small pension funds. Shortly after its inception in 1988, I joined Vestcap as a Portfolio Manager and currently serve as the Chairman of the Board and as a member of the Investment Management Committee.
About Me
While many of our clients know me as a devoted husband and father to four, a lesser-known fact is that I am an avid outdoorsman. As the proud owner of a corn, wheat and cattle farm, I continue to stay active tending to our crops and livestock. I also love to play tennis and competitive racquet sports to stay in shape.
